Burning Man is about burning a Man, but what is this Man? Is this all the confounding features of humanity? Is this one's inner angst, fears, misgivings, self flagellation all going up in flames? The enigmatic burning of the Man probably means something very different to each person who witnesses it. The Mausoleum is meant to be a more involvable experience. The Man is remote, a symbol which cannot be reached but can be witnessed.
