Stuart Forbes, H.S.Software

I got hooked on programming 20 years ago in the heady days of the BBC Micro, and set up H.S.Software to produce reading and spelling games. It has since expanded to include report writing packages for teachers.
When I tried the demo version of Avatar labs and Atmosphere before Christmas I was absolutely stunned by the graphics, and the huge potential that Atmosphere has for interactive learning and fun!
I started by converting one of my games ("Tidy") - it took a lot of fiddling and help from the Atmosphere forum (who are outstanding) but I managed to get Atmosphere to do a lot of what I wanted.
I was then inspired by Stephen Bell's "cybermall" and created "Esprit" - an authentic recreation (with animations) of a friend's local hairdressing salon.
My current project is an interactive staffroom where teachers can meet, and also help each other out with the more tedious aspects of education such as report writing - I'm building in interactive tutorials (and demos of my report writing software of course!).
I've now set up www.hsworlds.com to host these worlds and all the others I hope to develop, which will include educational games and adventures + on line help for teachers.
