Some of the Poems and Poet's Links

JJ Webb: I saw the most amazing things today

I saw the most amazing things today!
A grumpy-eyed imp holding morning at bay,
Doves holding hands with nothing to say,
One pixie dancing the moonlight away,
Regal eyes shining, the smile of a fox,
Enchanted laughs floating from a brightly wrapped box,
A diamond the size of a very large rock
And a silver ship landing at a crystalline dock.
You would think that a man who had watched gypsies sing
On a mountain of gold would have seen everything.
Unless, of course, he knew
That he'd never set eyes on you.

Bruce Damer: To Robben Island and Jonathan Livingston Slug

Jim Rintoul: Born to the Earth and the Sky

We are born to the earth and the sky
spirits can dance, souls can fly
we are born to the sun and the sea
the heart of this world is the heart in me

     Life is what I sing
     Love is what I bring
     Life is what I sing
     Love is what I bring

In fire, in water, in earth, and in air
spirit and soul are with me, everywhere
this is my heart's dedication and prayer

The power that moves in the sky moves in me
the grace and the beauty of waves in the sea
the wisdom and courage of all I can be

we are born to the earth and the sky
spirits can dance, souls can fly
we are born to the sun and the sea
the heart of this world is the heart in me
